Luka Mitchell, a driven architecture student from the UK, is currently completing an international internship with Except. Equipped with extensive CAD expertise and a devotion to sustainable design, Luka is driven to innovate in the architectural field in the planet’s best interests.

A transformative trip to Singapore in 2018 solidified Luka’s desire for attainable sustainable architecture. This inspired him to undertake a series of personal projects, where he refined his skills in architectural modeling, rendering and design techniques, with an emphasis on biophilic design. This is taken further in Luka’s first years at university, laying the groundwork for future sustainable architectural endeavors.

Guided by the principles of Ancient Greek philosophy, Luka has a great appreciation for the concept of ‘ataraxia’ and aspires to evoke the emotion through his work. He is committed to designing spaces that embody balance and tranquility, enabling harmony between the natural and built environments. Reaching this goal reassures Luka that he is making the world a better place for tomorrow.
