Social housing organization Woonstad and the city council of Overschie wanted to make their neighborhood more sustainable but had little idea where to start. To help provide an answer, we quickly scan the area to find its opportunities. We made a custom inspiration book filled with possibilities to work towards a sustainable city district. Read below for more info, and of course, download the book!

Overschie is a neighborhood in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, with unique properties such as being:

  • Surrounded by highways and an airport
  • Being environmentally compromised
  • Facing public health challenges
  • A village within the city
  • High in social capital

With this inspiration book, the various parties in the neighborhood can gain quick and easy insight into the possibilities that work for the community and how they work together.

  • The book has been received really well and it’s really making people move.
