The Role

We're expanding our team in Vietnam with a Junior Landscape / Urban Designer who possesses exceptional graphic design skills. This role is an opportunity to contribute to sustainable urban transformations and landscape projects that embody our holistic approach to sustainability. You'll collaborate closely with our team to develop graphics and designs that are not only innovative but also deeply integrated with our sustainability ethos.

You will work under the management of Chi Nguyen, regional director of Except in Asia, and are directed by the head of the Urban team, Eranda Janku, and the head of the design team, Emma Westerduin.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce high quality graphic design, diagrams, urban design drawings and landscape design drawings, as well as collages, document layouts, and visualisations.
• Coordinate design work on a daily basis with the team via Miro and Slack.
• Engage in research and analysis to support sustainable design solutions.
• Participate in workshops and client meetings, contributing creative ideas and designs.
• Assist in the preparation of technical and design documents.
• Bring a proactive, detail-oriented approach to every task, big or small.

We seek a proactive individual who:

• Is passionate about sustainability and systemic change.
• Holds a degree in landscape architecture, urban design, or a related field.
• Has strong graphic design skills, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (illustrator and Indesign specifically), and a 3D package of choice.
• Is based in HCMC and fluent in Vietnamese and English, written and verbal.
• Has responsibility and self-management skills: Working from home and on-the-go is the norm with us, we do not have a fixed office in Vietnam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or related fields.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp).
• A convincing portfolio with work that has been 100% produced by you.

• A full-time, 4 days per week, position, located in Ho Chi Minh City.
• A compensation range of $700-$900 per month, depending on your experience.
